In November 2000 he finally achieved a long held ambition to secure a commission for a sporting subject. His 3 metre high bronze sculpture of George Hardwick, who captained Great britain, England, Middlesbrough F.C., and Oldham Athletic F.C. during the 194os and 1950s, was installed outside the BT Cellnet Riverside Stadium at Middlesbrough on Teesside.

In June 2005 he completed a 3 metre high bronze statue of Canadian air gunner, Pilot Officer Andrew Mynarski V.C. for Durham Tees Valley Airport, and is currently working on a second Mynarski statue for the City of Winnipeg in Canada, Mynarski’s birthplace.

At THE 2007 Guild of aviation artists’ Annual Exhibition he won the BAe Award for aviation painting of the year with his painting”powerlifters”, and his depiction of a Sikorsky Skycrane firefighting helicopter won the Westland award for best helicopter painting.

MORE RECENT projects include the recreation of an 18th century statue of Neptune replacING the missing original in the serpentine lake at the recently restored Hardwick Park landscaped garden near Sedgefield in Co. During a career spanning some 25 years, Keith has exhibited in four national aviation museums each of which now has examples of his work on permanent display. He has received commissions from the Royal Air Force, and three for national aviation memorials. His work has sold throughout europe, in Australia and in the United States where his 1/4 scale military sculptures have been awarded two silver medals and one bronze in the annual Chicago show of the Military Miniatures Society of Illinois.

FOR 7 YEARS, Keith servED as an intelligence analyst in the Royal Auxiliary Air Force. He is married and lives near Otterburn in Northumberland. As an artist he is always striving to improve on past work, to develop new techniques and to explore the potential of new materials. Above all is the quest to achieve a high standard of realism in an age where the controversial, bizarre and outrageous often seem to dominate the contemporary world of 3 dimensional art.
